Compatible with PHP7?
There is any way, without hard codding, to make 3.0 compatible to PHP7?
What are the facts?

Re: Compatible with PHP7?
Unless you're using a fork of phpBB 3.0.x like phpBBex which can come with its own set of problems, keeping such an old version involves making core changes.Last Man Standing » Sun Aug 14, 2022 1:20 am wrote:There is any way, without hard codding, to make 3.0 compatible to PHP7?

Re: Compatible with PHP7?
why would you want to make it compatible with php7?
don't know for sure if this site is running 3.0 but there is no real reason to do so just because we are supporting 3.0+

Re: Compatible with PHP7?
I signed up to have better access to the forum.
In principle I subscribe to almost every forum I see are still on Olympus.
My motto is:
Olympus the forum made by hackers for hackers.
Not sharing the development done with Ascraeus and Rhea, I always preferred to update my Olympus: I added the responsive style made by Cyberalien for 3.0.12 updating it to 3.0.14 I'm talking about Artodia Deluxe, I implemented some Dion Design hacks, and I also drew from the latter to make it compatible up to PHP 8.1.
Now I have a forum in which I have disabled the search for updates, because it shouldn't be updated, except to apply security patches.

Re: Compatible with PHP7?

Re: Compatible with PHP7?
Ok you are interested
I can provide you with several packages:
it depends what you want to do.
Updating an already populated forum, doing a new installation, do you just want the basic prosilver style or do you want responsive styles already included?

@Silver Surfer: Since I run about 10 forums, I would need something as easy as possible. ![Thumbs Up :)]-](./images/smilies/Thumbs%20up.gif)

Re: Compatible with PHP7?
Converti in phpbbex

Re: Compatible with PHP7?
I do not understand!
Didn't you install the MODs?
If you did it once you can do it again, keep in mind that you will only have to modify the filesystem, the database will already be functional.
The only thing is that you will need to have the MOD instructions.
If the MOD only worked on the theme/style, you don't have to do anything.
